ODOP Bamboo

Madhya Pradesh is one of the biggest states in bamboo production as well the state has the largest forest area in India. The ancient Asian saying goes: “A man is born in a bamboo cradle and goes away in a bamboo coffin. Everything in between is possible with bamboo!” Madhya Pradesh can produce and export bamboo fibers, textiles, musical instruments, toys, pulp, paper, packing material, furniture, and handicraft items. Bamboo is the ODOP product of 3 districts Dewas, Harda and Rewa.

Rewa’s selected One District One Product is “Bamboo Crafts.” Renowned for its bamboo forests, Rewa’s artisans produce a wide range of bamboo crafts, including furniture and decorative items, capitalizing on the region’s abundant natural resource and skilled craftsmanship to drive economic growth and promote sustainable development.
