IoT Sensor-based real-time Monitoring of Plantations in Rewa Forest Division (Jan-Feb 2024)

On pilot basis, the system has been installed at 2 social-forestry sites in Rewa Forest Division. It gives real-time information regarding soil-moisture on cloud, which can be accessed anywhere anytime.

Based upon the info or alerts, instructions are issued to perform the irrigation/watering. It’s solarpowered, so no external energy source is required.

Thus, Rewa has become the 1st & only Forest Division in India which has adopted IoT-based technology for plantation monitoring.
